I design and execute campaigns to pass (or stop) legislation and budget items in Sacramento and Washington, DC, with a range of grassroots and grasstops advocacy, direct lobbying, and communications tactics.

Examples of my Campaign work include:

• Co-chairing a 2012 Work Group of state advocates calling for California’s new State health coverage system to integrate with human services (such as CalFresh, CalWORKs, child care, and working family tax credits) to increase consumer access and efficiency.
• Leading a comprehensive state budget campaign for a “Family Recovery Budget” in 2010, with the HHS Network and communications consultants Full Court Press, that prevented devastating cuts and built support for additional revenues.
