I bring together and lead diverse stakeholders focused on a common goal – whether a new program or policy, and in the local, state and national arenas.

Examples of my Coalition work include:

• Forming and leading California’s state budget coalition on health and human services, the HHS Network in 2009-10, as well as the broader “Together for California’s Future” budget coalition in 2008.
• Co-chairing the Oakland H.O.P.E. Collaborative on behalf of the Alameda County Community Food Bank, as part of a nationwide Kellogg Foundation initiative to increase access to healthy, just food in selected cities.
• Representing the Western Center for Law and Poverty’s interest in better serving clients through the Weatherization Assistance Program in an ad hoc State coalition on federal Stimulus funding and green opportunities.
